Christopher Vermando is a junior at Edwin Denby High School in Detroit where he maintains a 4.0 GPA and is an active member of multiple clubs including robotics and debate. Christopher is a founding member and current leader of Denby's lgbtq+ group focused on awareness and support. He is also enrolled in a culinary arts program. Chris enjoys meeting new people and building relationships through the Caleb White Project. He is passionate about helping others. Christopher would like to attend the University of Michigan or Michigan State University someday to earn a degree in business.

Hannah Parsons is a junior at Williamston High School and holds a 4.0 GPA. She is an active member in her school’s programs, some of which include: PALS, Student Government, Mu Alpha Theta and WHS’s Math and Science Academy. She also loves playing volleyball for both Williamston and Attack Volleyball Club. Hannah’s love for meeting new people has grown from her diverse volunteering experiences and she enjoys helping others and building relationships through the Caleb White Project, which she was introduced to through serving at a Game Night at the shelter. Hannah believes in the power of youth leadership and aspires to attend the University of Michigan.

Chloe Parsons is a freshman at Williamston High School where she is an honor roll student and a recipient of the Williamston School Merit Award. Chloe has always had a love for helping other kids and making a positive impact on others’ lives. She is a part of many different volunteering experiences and participates in both Student Government and PALS (Peer Assisted Learning). She loves volleyball and plays for both Williamston and Attack Volleyball Club

Avery Riker is a senior at Seaholm High School in Bloomfield Hills. Avery enjoys sports, such as softball, volleyball and she also participates in various drama productions. Since she first volunteered with the CWP, Avery has developed an increased desire to become actively involved in all aspects of volunteering and to inspire others in her community to do the same. Avery is very enthusiastic and honored to be part of such an amazing group of young adults wanting to make a positive impact.

Luc Landry is a sophomore at Cranbrook Kingswood Preparatory School. Luc is a Senior Royal member of the Huron Valley Penguins swim team and has a first degree black belt in Taekwondo. Luc has been volunteering for the CWP for a number of years and is extremely excited to join the board so he can continue to make a difference in the lives of others. Luc enjoys skateboarding, swimming and snowboarding in his free time. He would love to become a Marine Biologist one day, and learn to surf and dive with sharks.

Carson Wood is a senior at Seaholm High School in Birmingham where he has been a member of the varsity hockey team since his sophomore year. Carson has been volunteering with the Caleb White Project for three years and has led two house projects of his own. Carson is always looking for ways to help others and enjoys giving back to his community. He plans to continue leading service projects in college and hopes to get more young people involved.

Makenna Sanom is a senior at Mercy High School where she has been a member of Green Club, HOSA, and Spanish Honor Society. She is also a member of the National Honor Society. Makenna loves to serve her community. She is enthusiastic about making a positive impact in the lives of others and loves meeting new people along the way. Makenna plays travel soccer for the Michigan Hawks. She will be attending college Michigan Tech next year where she will play soccer.

Alyvia Sanom is a senior at Mercy High School. She holds a 4.0 GPA and is involved in many school programs. She is a leader of Green Club and a member of HOSA, Spanish Honor Society, and Italian Club. Alyvia is a hardworking and passionate person who is always looking to make a difference. She enjoys helping others and building relationships with the people that she meets along the way. Alyvia plays club soccer for the Michigan Hawks. She will be attending and playing soccer for Michigan Tech next year.

Anna Hayek is a junior at Northville High School where she is an honor student and a member of the lacrosse and volleyball teams. Anna has been volunteering with the Caleb White Project since 2015 and enjoys connecting with the women and children at the shelter. She maintains close relationships with many of the people she meets taking an active role in their success by tutoring and mentoring. Anna hopes to go to school at Clemson University.
